DER Development Company, LLC (DER) is a full service general contracting, property development and construction management firm headquartered in Milford, Ohio. With roots dating back to 1935, DER serves municipalities, developers, business owners and other public and private clients throughout the tri-state region of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
DER is a family-owned and operated, merit-shop organization with over 75 years of service to the tri-state area of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, including greater Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Indianapolis, Lexington, and Louisville.
Dale Roe
Owner and President
Dale has been in the business for more than 45 years. He has earned a degree in management from Kentucky Wesleyan College. His education also includes formal training in surveying, estimating and engineering. Mr. Roe also has a certificate of sprinkler irrigation.
Hank Roe
Vice President
Hank has been in the industry since 2000. He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management from Purdue University in 2004.
Our onsite superintendants have more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry.
DER takes pride in self-performing many tasks and being a very active general contractor on a project.
Ranging from excavation, sitework, and carpentry to foundation concrete, the field staff is extremely experienced in operating an array of projects. The company’s on-site capabilities combined with the managing of qualified, skilled subcontractors and procuring materials from vendors, additionally, are disciplines in which the company excels.
Safety is a priority on all of our projects
DER takes pride in promoting safety on every job site. The company’s philosophy on safety encourages all employees and sub contractors to incorporate safety along with quality in every task. The commitment to safety is reinforced through participation in local area safety council, ongoing education and training, implementing programs such as Drug Free Workplace and support from senior management.
Ohio’s Bureau of Workers Compensation recently presented DER with an award reflecting the safe practices throughout 2012.
